Accident Sends Rider To Hospital

[Updated] At approximately 9:00pm this evening [Jan.6], emergency services responded to a report of an accident in Warwick. It appears there was a collision between a motorcycle and a car on Billy Goat Hill with the rider of the cycle sustaining injuries.

Bermuda Fire Service personnel tended to the injured person until the ambulance arrived and transported him to King Edward Memorial Hospital for treatment. The rider’s injuries are not believed to be life threatening. Details are limited however, we will update as able.

Update: A police spokesperson said, “Around 9:20pm on Friday, January 6th police and first responders attended a reported collision in the South Road, Tribe Road #1 (Billy Goat Hill) Warwick area.

“It appears that a motorcycle and a car were traveling along Tribe Road #1 when the vehicles collided. The motorcycle rider, a 28 year old Warwick man, sustained a leg injury as a result. The car driver was not injured. Both vehicles were damaged. Inquiries into this incident are underway.”
