  1. Ok says:

Why can’t they have a meeting at a time that doesn’t severely interrupt service?

  2. Aquarius says:

ridiculous. missed my kids cross country while i sat at the bus stop waiting while they consider what exactly? wtf!?

  3. confused says:

why couldnt they have a representative attend the meeting and take notes?

people do anything not to work!

  4. Liz says:

On the Royal Gazette website it suggests that the Government are going to take a 5% pay cut. I smell an election coming I was wondering why Lady Premier was attending this meeting. Haven’t the people been calling for them to take a pay cut for a few years now people are pi$$ed and they want to pacify them.

    • Death to party politics says:

I think the rumored 5% pay cut relates to the Civil Servants, not the Government. Though I imagine there’s no way that one will fly unless Parliamentarians take a cut as well.

    • Death to party politics says:

Hmmmm while it does say that the Premier promised 5% for Minister, I don’t see why she would attend a union meeting to announce it unless she was asking the workers to either 1)similarly take a pay-cut or 2) salary freeze?

Will wait for more information to come out before going too far with the speculation….

Isn’t it time that the BIU should be declared illegal??

I don’t think there is one single group of on this island that has caused more havoc in the past twenty years than this bunch of idiots. They can all kiss my “you know what”.

It is really difficult for me to understand how, after seeing the most recent financial statements of this group, that they still actually have members!

..must really be a bunch of dopes!

  6. 1minute says:

The Ministry of Transport said they “will work to ensure there is as little disruption as possible to bus and ferry services tomorrow during the BIU meeting scheduled to take place between 10 am and 12 pm.”

    • KellyBermuda says:

“As little disruption as possible”….TOTAL disruption is what we got.

I spoke to a senior citizen at the bus terminal with no other way to get to her doctor’s appointment. So i drove her there.
What a disgrace and an embarrassment for the country.

    • Gvt Mechanic says:

@soon_gone – what an honourable thing to do and proof that not all of us have lost our sense of pride or decency

  8. Gvt Mechanic says:

Transport will be stopped from 10am to 12 nonn eh! And don’t forget the hour before so they could take the buses back to the depot and the hour after while they chat outside before going back to work – sigh!

    • Family Man says:

Then there’s the lunch hour. They don’t have no meetins on their lunch hour.

      • Gvt Mechanic says:

Then they probably missed coffee break, so add on another hour for that!
