Video/Photos: School Children Sing With Voces8
Crowds of people gathered outside City Hall this afternoon [Feb 20] combined choir of 300 school students performed under the direction of Voces8.
The UK-based Voces8 group rose to fame in 2005 when they achieved first prize at the International Choral Grand Prix in Italy. Since then they have performed in Europe, the USA, Africa and Asia, and return to the Bermuda Festival after first performing here in 2010.
Today’s lunchtime performance was part of the ‘Festival Freebies’, which is part of the Bermuda Festival of the Performing Arts.
The free series of talks and performances by locals and some of the performers in the Bermuda Festival is designed to increase Bermuda’s exposure to all forms of art.
