CableVision Introduce New “On-Time Guarantee”

April 18, 2013

Bermuda CableVision has introduced a new “On-Time Guarantee,” which it is backing up with a monetary commitment in the event it does not meet its deadlines for technical service or installation visits.

Under the new programme, if an appointment has been set up with a new or existing customer, CableVision’s technicians will arrive within the designated timeframe or the customer will receive a $25 credit.

Early appointment time slots run from 8.30am until 1pm, and afternoon time slots are from 1pm until 5pm. If the CableVision technician does not arrive during the scheduled time period, the customer will automatically receive a $25 credit to their account.

Terry Roberson, General Manager of Bermuda CableVision, explains: “We have been taking numerous steps to improve our customer service, with more training of our associates, and improvements across the board in processes, procedures and even in our overall way of thinking of customer service. The entire CableVision team is behind this company-wide effort to step up our commitment and show our customers that we are serious about providing them with excellent service.”

Congrats to Cablevision who have managed to deliver a pixelated (unwatchable) signal to St Georges uninterrupted for about 24 hours now.

  2. Elizabeth Von Trumparani says:

I honestly don’t know why I continue to pay for such continuously bad service.

  3. Loquatz says:

Serzlee they define “on time” as within 4 hours give or take?

  4. Say no says:

Cablevision that maybe fine, but what about credits for channels going out at the puff of a wind, or freezing up. Or even as far as the channels that no longer carry the mentioned line-up. how long does it take to have them give you their new line-up (channels 18 and 26 for instance).

I still fail to understand why Cablevision assumes 1/2 day out of work is acceptable — assuming they show up on time. I agree with the other posts – I can’t imagine why I keep paying for abysmal service. And what’s the deal with WGN and ESPN? No matter what it says on the cable guide – that’s not what’s on! Pitiful.

What about when you try to call them and all you get is nothing but a automated system – THEY NEVER ANSWER! Cablevision, you are frustrating.. And I am still waiting for my ebill each month. Have signed up with you since January and each month I have to call (but you never answer) for my balance and cannot give me a reason as to why you cannot send me my ebill.

  7. ella says:

I have cut you off before and if you don’t give me the customer courtesy that I deserve, i will be sure to cut you off again!

    • $oldier says:

Well you’re the idiot who keeps running back to them.

  8. X4achange says:

I just want to know why I set my DVR recorder to record a show that was scheduled to air on BET, only to come to the realization that I actually recored music videos (vexed). In fact, that happens often on BET. Cablevision can you please fix that???!!!

  9. boston baked bean says:

Yup – add BET to the list of channels that never show what’s scheduled. That’s 3 channels where we don’t get what we pay for. Is anyone at Cablevision reading these comments?

  10. @Work says:

You don’t need to offer money back, just give a time that you will show up and be there, if you can’t make it, call the customer. Between 9 am and 5 pm equals fail.

    I don’t have cable.

  11. I'm just sayin... says:

    Hows about just delivering;

    1. The channels I pay for
    2. The speeds I pay for

Or there has to be some penalty for not living up to your promises, say ummm $25 for not being able to watch the channels I pay for and another $25 for not delivering the speeds I pay for…….IJS
