The game is still at half-time now, with Huddersfield up 2-1, and we will update as able.

Update 6.20pm: Huddersfield makes a substitution in the 74th minute which sees Nahki Wells leave the field for James Vaughan with the score at 2-2.

Update 6.57pm: The game ends in a 2-2 draw. Huddersfield Town Manager Mark Robins speaking post match said, “Nahki Wells is an outstanding player and his goal was brilliant”.

Update Mar 26th: Speaking after the game, Wells said: ““I believe we were the better side and deserved more than a point out of the game.

“It was a tough game tonight, against a decent side, where individual errors have cost us. The unfortunate thing is that when you are in a little bad run, mistakes always seem to get punished.

“We can’t dwell on that because we all make mistakes. We try and play football in the right manner, but sometimes mistakes will happen. Hopefully we will learn from them, keep trying to play like we can and subsequently climb the table. We’re working hard and we’ll move on.”

“I think I’ve done quite well up front on my own. Jumping up to the Championship was a big step in my career and being asked to play an individual role up there as a small lad is difficult, but I think I’ve coped with it well. I’m still progressing as a player and I’m still learning the role.”

Highlights from the match, including Nahki Wells’ goal:

On his goal, the 23 year old Bermudian said, “When I turned and shot, I knew it would test the goalkeeper as I’d hit it quite well. When I saw it hit the post I half-expected to see it come rolling back out, but tonight it went in the net and I’m happy to be back on the scoresheet.

“It was great to put us in front and I wish it could have meant three points for us, but tonight it was only one. Hopefully this weekend I can get the goal that gets us three points and sets us off on a run.”

Wells was replaced with 15 minutes to go; a decision the Club said “caused a stir amongst the Town faithful”

“I would like to think that the fans want me on the pitch as we’re looking to win the game, but the Manager is here to make these decisions,” Wells said.

“I’ve played a lot of minutes recently and I think Vaughany deserved to come on, whether it was for me or not. That’s football; I’m not going to criticise the decision. Putting two men up there could have left us vulnerable.

“Of course I felt I could finish the match, but Vaughany can always be the difference for us – and he almost was tonight. In a tough period for us, we’ll have to take the point tonight.”
