Motorcyclist Injured In Southampton Collision

At about 4.30pm yesterday [Sept 2], a two vehicle collision on Middle Road in Southampton required the attendance of first responders, with a 70-year-old motorcyclist taken to hospital for treatment.

A police spokesperson said, “Around 4.30pm on Tuesday, September 2, first responders were dispatched to a reported two vehicle collision on Middle Road in Southampton near Jews Bay.

“It appears that a van and a motorcycle collided, injuring the motorcyclist. The victim, a 70-year-old Sandys Parish man, was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment.

“At last check he was in the Intensive Care Unit in stable condition.

“Both vehicles were damaged. Inquiries into this collision are ongoing and any witnesses are encouraged to contact PC Barbi Harris at the Somerset Police Station on 234-1010.”
