Photos: Devonshire Colts Win Shield Final
The Bermuda Football Association’s Shield Final took place today [Jan 1] at the National Sports Centre, with the Devonshire Colts defeating Young Mens Social Club 3-1 to lift the trophy.
The two teams had progressed through the Semi-Finals after the Devonshire Colts defeated BAA, and the Young Mens Social Club defeated the Somerset Eagles 5 – 4.

Young Mens Social Club took the lead in the 40th minute when Jarizhino Simmons scored, but five minutes later the scores were level when Lozendro Symonds found the back of the net, and the two teams went into half-time tied 1 – 1.
Symonds put the Devonshire Colts ahead 2 – 1 in the 65th minute, and in the 85th minute, he completed his hat-trick when he scored from close range to push the Devonshire Colts to a 3 – 1 win.
