Photos: 2015 Eastern County Relay Classic Race

The third annual Eastern County Relay Classic was held on Sunday [Jan 25] with eight teams participating in a race that started at the Flatt’s Victoria Field and finished at Lord’s in St. David’s.

The overall winning team consisted of Cynthia Millett, Jenifer Alen, Mark Outerbridge and Dean Smith with Smith running the last leg to the finish line. Jenifer Alen pushed the group in to contention when she took the lead spot on her leg with the other team members all playing their part for the win.

The route followed along Harrington Sound Road to Cleveland County Club where the first handover took place. The second leg continued along Harrington Sound Road to Wilkinson Avenue and on to the Baileys Bay Club where the second handover occurred.

The runners left Ducks Puddle Drive heading down Blue Hole Hill onto the causeway and continued on to St. David’s Road where the third handover took place near Stokes Point. The final leg runners headed to the finish line at St. David’s County Cricket Club.
