Forbes Names PartnerRe As “Most Trustworthy”
PartnerRe Ltd., a leading international reinsurer with a large presence in Bermuda, has been recognized by Forbes magazine as America’s Most Trustworthy Financial Company. This is a yearly ranking that includes publicly-traded North American companies of all sizes and industries.
Forbes partnered with MSCI ESG Research to develop the list, analyzing the accounting and governance behaviors of over 700 companies, including factors such as high-risk events, revenue and expense recognition methods, SEC sanctions, and risk of bankruptcy.
“With an average AGR [“Aggressive Accounting and Governance Risk”] score of 97 over the last 4 quarters, PartnerRe ranked the highest out of all large cap companies considered.
According to Forbes, the ranking indicates companies where there is, “a very high level of integrity in the financial reporting, whether the results are good or bad. These pass a very rigorous test.”
