Photos: Bermuda Police Service Hold Gymkhana

As part of their 136th anniversary celebrations, the Bermuda Police Service held the Police Gymkhana today [Oct 10] at Police Field in Prospect. Scores of children made their way to the event to take part in cycle races and enjoy the refreshment stalls, displays and fun castles set up on the field.

Although the passage of Hurricane Joaquin impacted two of the earlier events that were scheduled, the remaining events continued, with the Seniors Tea on Tuesday, Open Houses on Wednesday, Reserve PoliceĀ Change of Command Ceremony on Thursday and the BPS Sports & Fun Day on Friday.

The ā€˜Commissionerā€™s Vision Awardā€™ was originally scheduled for Monday evening and was cancelled due to Hurricane Joaquin, howeverĀ Commissioner of Police Michael DeSilva has invited the winners and their families to the Berkeley Institute on Monday October 12th at 6pm for an awards presentation and reception.
