Court: Man Denies Cultivating Cannabis Plants
Appearing in Magistrates Court, 40-year-old Antonio Cabral of Hamilton Parish plead not guilty to charges under the Misuse of Drugs Act.
He told Magistrate Khamisi Tokunbo that he was not guilty of possessing cannabis; cultivating cannabis plants; possessing cannabis intended for supply; possessing a grinder and possessing a digital scale both of which were intended for use with the illegal drugs.
The Crown Prosecutor informed the Magistrate that there were allegedly ten plants involved and that the total weight of all the cannabis found was 107.84 grams.
The Magistrate set bail at $10,000, required a Surety, and set trial for 16th March 2016.
