16-Year-Old Injured In Collision On North Shore
[Updated with audio] A 16-year-old female has been transported to hospital following a collision at around 4.00pm this afternoon [May 5] on North Shore Road in Pembroke.
Police Media Manager Dwayne Caines said, “A few minutes after 4.00pm today, first responders attended a report of a collision that took place on North Shore Road in Pembroke in the area of First Church of God.
“It appears that a 16-year-old female was traveling on her auxiliary cycle when she lost control of her vehicle and collided with a wall at Granny’s Kitchen Restaurant.
“The 16-year-old student was then transported to KEMH where she is being treated for face and chest injuries, and the full extent of her injuries is unknown at this juncture.
“The area has been cordoned off and traffic is being diverted whist the scene is being processed.
“Police are appealing to anyone who nay have seen this collision to contact police on 295-0011.”

Update May 6, 3.17pm: A police spokesperson said, “The 16-year-old female involved in the collision yesterday [5-May] on North Shore Road Pembroke, has been admitted into ICU where her condition is listed as stable.
“The Bermuda Police Service continue to appeal for witness who may have seen this collision to contact police on 295-0011.”
