Jonte Smith Signs With Welling United Club
Bermuda’s Jonte Smith has signed with Welling United Football Club, which is based in Kent and plays in the Vanarama National League.
In announcing the signing, the club said, “Mark Goldberg has added 21 year old Bermuda international striker Jonte Smith to his squad.
“The striker penned a deal with the Wings for next season on the back of a fine spell at Lewes. Smith trained with the Wings last season and joins on a permanent basis after signing today.
“Jonte has appeared a number of times for Bermuda as a full international, he scored his first international goal for Bermuda away at Cuba in March this year, and has scored regularly for Met Police [24 goals in 19] games and PS Kemi Kings in Finland [22 goals in 28 games].
“At Lewes last season Smith scored an impressive 10 goals in 15 games. Welcome to Park View Road Jonte.”
