Motorcyclist Injured In North Shore Road Collision
[Updated] A Hamilton parish man was injured tonight [Nov 4] when the motorcycle he was on appeared to have crashed into a roadside wooden fence on North Shore Road in Smith’s parish near the junction with Jennings Road.
A police spokesperson said: “Around 10pm on Friday, November 4th police and first responders were dispatched to a reported serious single vehicle motorcycle crash on North Shore Road in Smith’s parish near the junction with Jennings Road.
“Details remain unclear at this time. However, it appears that the male motorcyclist involved crashed into a roadside wooden fence.
“The rider, believed to be a 28 year old Hamilton parish man, was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance.
“The full extent of his injuries is currently unknown, but initial information suggests that they may be serious.
“An update on the rider’s condition will be provided in due course.
“Traffic was temporarily diverted away from the area while the relevant police personnel processed the scene.
“Those traffic diversions are no longer in effect and normal traffic flow has resumed in the area.
“Inquires continue and any witnesses should contact the main police telephone number 295-0011.”
Update Nov 5, 11.06am: The police said, “At last check 6am today [Saturday, November 5th] the 28 year old Hamilton parish man seriously injured in last night’s crash was in stable condition at the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit.
“The witness appeal continues, with anyone who saw the incident around 10pm Friday on North Shore Road Smith’s parish near the junction with Jennings Road, still encouraged to contact the main police telephone number 295-0011.”

My God! We have a national crisis on our hands! Everyday now there is an accident or collision on our roads.
Think its bad now, watch when americas cup gets here 15000ppl plus.
Prayerfully the young man makes a full recovery, and his family are being encouraged.
I have ridden motorcycles in very large cities for more than 25 years. The problem here is simple people are careless and reckless. Everyday I am surprised yet again by the dangerous driving I see. Thank God the speed limit is so low or you will you be losing 50 people a day.
