Chef Chiko Starts Christmas Meal Preparation
Chef Michiko Campbell has started the preparations today [Dec 19] for his third annual holiday charity event, which will take place on Friday, December 23 at Albouys Point from 6.00pm to 10.00pm.
The event aims to give back to the community each holiday season by providing free meals to those in need.
With Butterball – which is represented on the island by Butterfield & Vallis – agreeing to sponsor the event, Chef Chiko hopes to boost the number of people who benefit from the event this year.
“I am planning to feed 800 this year,” said the Bermudian chef. “I encourage people to bring chairs and enjoy the Christmas festivities, as there will be entertainment.”
With this year’s event set to target 800 guests, his previous events saw 432 people fed in 2014 and about 600 people fed in 2015, as well as a $3,000 donation made.
Chef Campbell, who studied at Johnson and Wales University to become a professional chef, is the owner and creator of the popular “Chiko’s Smokey Rub”, which has sold thousands of bottles since its launch in 2014.

Bless you brother and all who donate.
I observed last year.
I saw hundreds get free meals and then go to Bars et al and these people were of no need.
Thank you Chef Campbell.
Food for thought folks.
True spirit of Christmas, right there.
When there is free food for the taken I’m in saves me having to cook for the night
