Vancouver Giants 2 Oshawa Generals 3
The Oshawa Generals needed overtime to defeat the Vancouver Giants 3 – 2. Down 2 – 1 in the second period the Oshawa Generals got a goal off the stick of Ed Sweeney to level the score, in the first period the Vancouver Giants got goals from Chad Cundliffe and Dan Kirkpatrick as they took a 2 – 0 lead, but Joel Neal pulled a goal back. Neither team would score in the third period sending the game to overtime where Tom Miller scored.
Halifax Mooseheads 6 Sarnia Sting 7
Ryan Pink scored four times to lead the Sarnia Sting to a 7 – 6 win over the Halifax Mooseheads, also finishing the back of the net for the Sarnia Sting was Christopher Scott with 2 goals and David Provost added the other. The Halifax Mooseheads got a hat-trick from Ronnie Dzurus, while Jeffrey Ingelman, Andrew Curnow and Andrew Bonner all added a goal each.
