Sunday January 8th: “Good News” Spotlight

News that Bermuda welcomed the first baby of 2017, a UK travel association highlighted the island, and Nahki Wells, Rai Simons and Jonte Smith all scored goals were all some of the positive news stories from the past week.

Other good news stories included Axis donating $5,000 to Masterworks, the Chewstick Foundation celebrating 14 years with its “Chew Stories of Hope” event, overseas swimmers praising Bermuda’s National Sports Centre, and Willie Clemons being selected for the NSCAA Division III Men’s All-Region team.

We also posted various community photo galleries, including coverage of overseas swimmers training at the National Sports Centre, XRoads defeating Wolves in football action, the BLTA Double Elimination Tournament, New Year’s Day motocross action, the Devonshire Cougars defeating the PHC Zebras, and New Year’s Eve celebrations in St. George’s.
