CYG 2017 Men & Women Road Race Results
The Commonwealth Youth Games 2017 men and women’s road races recently took place, with Matthew Oliveira earning a bronze medal.
A spokesperson said, “Matthew Oliveira finished third, adding a bronze medal to the gold he won on Wednesday in the time trial. Kaden Hopkins, shown in the results as one lap down, was 26th or 27th, having suffered severe cramps on the final lap.
“Alyssa Rowse, the bronze medalist in the time trial, finished fourth in the girls road race, where a group of eight came to the finish line in a sprint.
“Clearly we have had a good week of cycling here in The Bahamas and we will use this experience to make further progress with our athletes.”
