Hockey Results: Sound Shore & BWN Win
A four team Field Hockey Tournament got underway at the National Sports Center with six goals scored on the opening day.
In the opener, the Sound Shore Tigers defeated the Staples 1 – 0, with the goal scored in the 42nd minute from a Penalty Stroke off the stick of Elizabeth Brissette.
The Bermuda Women’s National Team then defeated Mt St Abrahms 5 – 0. Bermuda took the lead in the 11th minute with a Field Goal from Maha Clarke, the lead was doubled in the 28th minute with Renee Grenslade scoring from a Short Corner, Clarke would make it 3 – 0 with her second goal of the game in the 38th minute.
In the 49th minute a Short Corner goal off the stick of Tihanna Booth made it 4 – 0 and then in the 51st minute another Short Corner goal was scored by Jen Chisnell.
