Challenge Cup & Corona League Football Results
This weekend the Bermuda Football Association’s FA Challenge Cup and Corona League saw a total of 21 goals scored in five games. In FA Challenge Cup matches St. George’s Colts and Robin Hood recorded wins, and in the Corona League matches Robin Hood, Lock N Key and North Village Rams all earned victories.
FA Challenge Cup
Somerset Trojans 0 St. George’s Colts 1
First Division outfit St. George’s Colts will go into the next round of the FA Challenge Cup after they defeated the Somerset Trojans 1 – 0 at the Somerset Cricket Club.
The visitors went ahead in the first minute when Donovan Thompson scored and they were able to keep the Premier Division Somerset Trojans at bay and bounced them out of the Cup.
Flanagan’s Onions 0 Robin Hood 3
Robin Hood advanced in the FA Challenge Cup following their 3 – 0 win over the Flanagan’s Onions at the BAA Field.
Lejuan Simmons gave Robin Hood the lead in the 18th minute, Simmons would double the Robin Hood lead in the 35th minute, and Nathan Peskett closed out the scoring with a strike in the 59th minute.
Corona League
Robin Hood 3 Tuff Dogs 0
Robin Hood defeated the Tuff Dogs 3 – 0, Evin O’Reilly, Aaron Nelson and Craig Hatherley all scored a goal each for Robin Hood.
Lock N Key 4 Royal Bermuda Regiment 3
Lock N Key were able to hold off a challenge from the Royal Bermuda Regiment coming out on top 4 – 3. Johnny Ball scored a hat-trick for Lock N key, with Dawud Tucker adding the other, while Trè Iris, Shai Smith and Jay Smith scored a goal each for the Royal Bermuda Regiment.
BAA 3 North Village Rams 4
Ralph Bean scored a hat-trick helping the North Village Rams pull off a 4 – 3 victory over BAA, Matthew Medeiros added the other. Noel Edness, Anthony DeCosta and Javon Minors all scored a goal each for BAA.
