Photos: BNAA Track & Field Meet On Sunday
The Bermuda Carifta Track and Field team continued to increase their number following performances at this weekend’s track meets at the National Sports Centre in Devonshire and overseas.
Clevonte Lodge who was competing in the Louis Lynch Championships in Barbados won the 400m finals with a time of 49.38 which qualified him under the time of 49.96 in the U17 boys division.
Isabelle Dutranoit running in the New England Indoor Championships ran the 3000m in a time of 10.53.14 with the qualifying time of 11.15m – Open women.
At Sunday’s track meet at the National Sports Centre, Tilda Norman ran a qualification time in the 3000m of 11.04.55 with the qualifying time of 11.15. She had previously qualified for the 1500m on Saturday.

BNAA President Donna Raynor said, “We had 5 athletes reach the Carifta standard this weekend and several very close.
“Nairobi Mills ran a fantastic 800m qualifying with a time of 1.59.17 with the standard being 2.03 – U17 Boys.
“Tilda Norman ran a fantastic 1500m qualifying with a time of 4.57.34 with the standard 5.05 – U17 Girls. She then followed that up with a qualification time in the 3000m of 11.04.55 with the qualifying time of 11.15.
“Jessie Marshall ran a fantastic 1500m as well qualifying with at time of 5.02.49 – U17 girls.
“Clevonte Lodge who was competing in the Louis Lynch Championships in Barbados won the 400m heats in a time of 50.58 and came back and won the finals 49.38 which qualified him under the time of 49.96 – U17 boys.
“Isabelle Dutranoit running in the New England Indoor Championships ran the 3000m in a time of 10.53.14 with the qualifying time of 11.15m – Open women. This makes 3 women who have met the qualifying standard in the 3000m.
“That takes our number to 14 qualified athletes. These athletes are not just about reaching the standard but are well within the standard. I am very pleased thus far.”
