Fashion Festival Expo & Gala On Saturday
On Saturday, July 14, the public is invited to visit the Fashion Expo at the mega tent on Front Street where local designers from the Bermuda Fashion Festival will be offering a closer look at their collections that graced the runway at the Local Designer Show, with the Fashion Expo to run from 11.00am to 4.00pm; admission is free.
A spokesperson said, “Also featured at the Expo will be a number of Bermuda-made/Bermuda-designed brands, all available for sale. The Expo will also showcase some up and coming local designers who have been invited to show their collections in a mini runway show – an opportunity to show their designs in a more intimate setting in addition to having their products and collections on display along with all the other local designers.
“The Expo affords the public the chance to view, sample and shop the collections as well a buy-Bermuda. The Fashion Expo will run from 11am – 4pm and is open to the public. Admission is free.”
“Later that evening, the highly anticipated Fashion Gala will be held at the official Festival hotel, the Hamilton Princess Hotel in the Harbourview Ballroom.
“The Gala will mark the finale of the Festival and the Old Hollywood themed event will have guests rubbing elbows with celebrities including international designers, models and stars of film and television.
“The Simons Brothers will welcome the guests with DJ Rusty G taking over to carry the revelers into dinner and dancing. Signature drinks and food stations will be on offer.”
Event organizer Thomas Lightbourne said, “We hope people embrace the opportunity to dress up and come out and enjoy this finale event. Ticket holders to the Festival shows have been watching amazing collections come down the runways all week. Now it’s their turn to get all dressed up and celebrate the end of a wonderful week of high-end fashion.”
Tickets to the Fashion Gala are $99 and are available at ptix.bm. Doors open at 7.00pm.
