Police Confirm Death Of 50-Year-Old Man
[Updated] The police have confirmed the death of a 50-year-old man who was found in an unresponsive state at a Mount Wyndham Drive, Hamilton parish residence early this morning.
A police spokesperson said, “Around 3:35am today [November 12th] police and fellow first responders attended a reported medical emergency at a Mount Wyndham Drive, Hamilton parish residence.
“It appears that a 50-year-old male resident was found in an unresponsive state inside an apartment on the property.
“He was later pronounced dead at the scene by an on call doctor. No further information regarding the deceased will be provided at this time, pending notification of his next of kin.
“The scene has been processed by the relevant police personnel and inquiries commenced.
“Anyone with any information regarding this sudden death is encouraged to call the main police telephone number 295-0011 at the earliest opportunity.”
Update November 13, 11:44am: A police spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the death of 50 year old Mr. Leonard Wayne and extends sincere condolences to his family and friends.
“Mr. Wayne was found in an unresponsive state inside an apartment at a Mount Wyndham Drive, Hamilton parish property around 3:35am Monday, November 12th and later pronounced dead at the scene by an on call doctor.
“Foul play is not suspected and a cause of death is being examined.”
