Fairmont Southampton’s Earth Hour Initiatives
Colleagues, guests and members of Fairmont Southampton participated in a variety of Earth Hour initiatives this past Saturday evening [March 30], including volunteering for the Greenrock charity walk, candles and displays in the lobby and the customary switching off or dimming of the building lights for the hour.
A Southampton star-gazing event also took place on the Great Sound Lawn with a bonfire, s’mores and star tracking apps.
A spokesperson said, “Fairmont Southampton has long been an environmental leader and innovator among the hospitality industry. And, as part of Accor, we are proud members of Planet 21 – promoting environmental sustainability in our hotels and communities. We are excited to continue our sustainability journey and hope that you’ll share that journey with us.”
