Gilbert Institute Closed For Remainder Of Day
The Department of Education is advising that Gilbert Institute has closed for the remainder of today [Sept 24] due to a power outage.
A spokesperson said, “The Department of Education is advising that Gilbert Institute has closed today, September 24.
“The decision to dismiss students for the day was made after a power outage at the facility. Department of Education staff are working closely with BELCO to confirm a timeline for repairs.
“The school principal, staff, as well as parents have been informed of the closure. The school has executed protocols to dismiss students under direction of the Department of Education.
“More information regarding the re-opening of Gilbert Institute will be forthcoming.”
