Hamilton Princess Sponsors Stars+Stripes
The Hamilton Princess & Beach Club has been announced as the official host hotel sponsor of Stars+Stripes, one of 16 teams taking part in the Match Racing World Championship and Bermuda Gold Cup
A spokesperson said, “As the island ramps up for an intense week of international sports, Hamilton Princess & Beach Club has been unveiled as the official host hotel sponsor of Stars+Stripes.
“Stars+Stripes, helmed by Taylor Canfield, are competing as one of 16 teams in the Match Racing World Championship and Bermuda Gold Cup, taking place October 25 to October 30.
“During their stay, the team and support staff will take up residence at the Hamilton Princess and the hotel’s logo will be featured on the team’s uniforms. The race course will see the team passing the hotel during its races.”
Tim Morrison, General Manager of Hamilton Princess & Beach Club, said, “We are proud to be hosting Stars+Stripes during their first competitive foray in Bermuda in 2020, the last time the team was here they won the championship, we look forward to cheering them on.
“This is an incredibly exciting time for Bermuda in terms of sports and we are extremely pleased to be able to play a role.”
Mike Buckley, Chairman and Skipper of Stars+Stripes, said, “We are so excited to be partnering with Bermuda’s iconic Hamilton Princess & Beach Club during our time in on the island.
“This is our first competition overseas since the beginning of the pandemic and given how well the island and hotel are handling it, we can’t think of anywhere we would rather be.”
