Hockey: Islanders, Falcons, Pirates, Ravens Win

The Bermuda Field Hockey Federation season resumed with four games taking place at the National Sports Center.

Griffins 1 Islanders 2

The Islanders defeated the Griffins 2 – 1 in the opening game of the weekend.

Zina Jones gave the Griffins the lead in the 4th minute when she scored a field goal, the Islanders equalized in the 9th minute when Jenah Trot scored a field goal.

The Islanders winner came in the 34th minute off the stick of Isabella Boonstra who connected on a field goal.

Canaries 0 BHA Falcons 1

The lone goal of this game came in the 2nd minute, as Jayden Pacheco scored to earn the BHA Falcons a 1 – 0 win over the Canaries.

BHA Pirates 3 Dragons 1

The BHA Pirates defeated the Dragons in their match 3 – 1. The Pirates took the lead in the 12th minute on a penalty corner off the stick of Tiheng Booth, the Dragons equalized in the 23rd minute with a field goal from Tyler Smith. In the 41st minute Nigel Deane scored a field goal to put the BHA Pirates back in front and then in the 46th minute Donavan Simmons scored a field goal to make it 3 – 1 to the BHA Pirates.

Longtails 0 Ravens 1

The Ravens defeated the Longtails in the final match of the day 1 – 0, the lone goal in this match came in the 14th minute, which was a field goal off the stick of Rebecca Gibbons.
