Green Family Donate Laptops To Whitney
To mark the season of giving, the Green family have donated 30 new laptops to Whitney Institute Middle School, for use by their students.
“The 14 inch HP Chromebooks were delivered to the school last week and gratefully received by Principal Reeshemah Swan. The laptops feature touchscreens, rich audio and graphics and can be folded over for use as tablets – making them a versatile addition to the school’s classrooms.
The laptops will be used for writing, data analysis and even drawing exercises during classes.

A spokesperson said, “During this time, the laptops will be loaned out to students on a needs basis, ensuring that all of Whitney’s students have access to learning from home. Once in-classroom education resumes, the laptops will be used for enrichment and intervention programmes in a classroom setting.
“This festive donation comes as part of the school’s partnership for the 2020-21 academic year with Hamilton Princess & Beach Club, owned by the Green family. This partnership will see the two bodies working together to enrich the lives of students and hotel colleagues alike.”
Reeshemah Swan, Principal of Whitney Institute Middle School, said: “On behalf of the Whitney Institute Board of Trustees, the Whitney Institute Board of Governors, faculty, students and family, I’d like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to the Green family for their generosity.
“We are currently operating in challenging times and these laptops will greatly assist our teachers in meeting the needs and demands of our students. We are excited and look forward to working with the Hamilton Princess & Beach Club as their public school partners for the 2020-21 academic year. It truly ‘takes a village to raise a child.’”
Andrew Green said: “We are pleased to be able to support Hamilton Princess & Beach Club’s partnership with Whitney Institute Middle School with this laptop donation. Education is incredibly important to us and we believe it has the power to change the world.
“We hope that these Chromebooks empower Whitney’s students and enable their teachers to utilise new ways of engaging and illuminating their subject areas.”

The Green’s come through again . What wonderful and generous guys.
I vote we let them run the island.
I second that. The financial part is great on its own, but the amount of effort it would take to find that many laptops right now, at a time when they are impossible to find deserves a standing ovatiom on its own.
the Green family has contributed endlessly to the island in many many categories.Thank you to you all green family and have a wonderful holiday.
