RBYC Keelboat Racing Season Underway
The Royal Bermuda Yacht Club’s 2021 Keelboat Racing Season is now underway in the Great Sound.
The first day of racing saw the sailors compete in shifty conditions for the J/105 and International One Design [IOD] classes, with 3 races in both classes.
The J/105 Class was competing for the Indian Harbor Bowl, Trevor Boyce & M Jeff sailed Yabsta to six points on the day, they finished 4th in the first race, before winning races 2 & 3, Mark Cloutier also finished the day with 6 points sailing Scatteraction, this after finishing 2nd in all three races. James MacDonald sailed Passion to a third-place finish on the day with 9 points, the same amount of points that Keith Chiappa finished with sailing Windfire.

The IOD class was competing for the KNS Tankard, with Solna sailed by P. Cooper finished the day on top of the leaderboard with 7 points, this after finishing 5th in the first race, before winning the next two races. C. Davis sailing Vrengen was second with 8 points, and finishing third was B. Walker sailing Bounty.
