Pembroke Brownies Celebrate Women’s Month
In celebration of Women’s Month – which is celebrated during the month of March – the First Pembroke Brownie pack visited Elizabeth Hills, distributing an assortment of fruit.
A spokesperson said, “To start off the month of March, celebrated as Women’s Month, the brownies of First Pembroke Brownie pack visited Elizabeth Hills, distributing an assortment of fruit.
“Respecting protocols, the girls – who ranged in age from 7 years to 9 years – greeted the female senior gems of our community, letting them know that in this Covid climate they were remembered.”
Commissioner Simmons said, “In the Girlguiding movement, community service is important and so we are always excited when our girls are community service stewards.
“The girls used teamwork to create the “We care” packages and presented themselves well to those they came into contact with. These are the types of skills we are developing in our future female leaders.”
