Football: North Village Rams Win Title
The North Village Rams were crowned the Leonard Holder DeRosa Champions after edging the Somerset Trojans 2 – 1 at the Devonshire Recreation Club.
Tiago Correia gave the North Village Rams the lead in the 2nd minute, Correia beat the offside trap and beat the keeper to a long ball to score. The North Village Rams would double their lead in the 26th minute when Daeshun Landy scored from an angle, they would take that 2 – 0 lead to the break.
The Somerset Trojans were able to pull a goal back in the 71st minute through a strike from Michari Tear – Deleon, but time would run out on them as they went in search of an equalizer.
