Feb 14 & 15: Raleigh Youth Anti-Violence Forum
Raleigh Bermuda is calling all Young Bermudians between the ages of 14 – 17 years old to register for a 2-day Anti-Violence Youth Forum called ‘I Am Brave: Voices.’
A spokesperson said, “This Youth Forum is led by Raleigh Bravers who have been trained in anti-violence advocacy and will be leading this community event. A youth event led by empowered youth.
“Raleigh Bermuda believes the presence and voice of our young people matters. Raleigh will support our young people by giving the tools on how to engage and tackle hard conversations about:
- Gang/ Street Violence
- Anger management
- Bullying
- Hyper Sexuality
- Drugs/ Alcohol
- And much more.
“The forum is free and open to all high school students ages 14 – 17 years old. Food will also be provided. Click here to register.
“The Youth Forum is an extension of Raleigh Bermuda’s community discussion “Drugs, Gangs and Corner Boys. Is my Child being Recruited? on July 24, 2022, which was in partnership with the Bermuda Police Service and Pathways Bermuda.
“At the summer Community Presentation, Raleigh Bermuda shared their experiences and findings in working with young people regarding violence, gang recruitment, drugs, and street grooming. In 2020, Raleigh Bermuda developed and launched the “I am Brave” Programme for high school students which has become one of the most successful and impactful anti-violence and advocacy programme on island.”
