Ship Arrives Early Due To Sick Crew Member
Norwegian Joy arrived earlier than their scheduled arrival time on Tuesday [June 27] due to a crew member in need of medical attention .
A Bermuda Maritime Operations Centre spokesperson said, “Tuesday 27th of June, 10:15 am – Bermuda Radio received a telephone call from Meyer Agencies informing that the Norwegian Joy would be arriving earlier than their scheduled arrival time as they had a crew member in need of medical attention ashore.
“Bermuda Radio kept Fire Dispatch updated and at 14:47 the patient, suffering from a suspected stroke, was transferred to the pilot boat for transportation to Ordnance Island and transferred to an ambulance for onward transport to King Edward the VII Memorial Hospital.”
