News that Jessica Lewis won a gold medal in record setting style at the Parapan Games in Chile, Yushae DeSilva-Andrade won a silver medal in boccia at the Parapan Games, Mandisa Richardson earned the Public Service Excellence Award, Krista Dyer won a silver medal at the World Wushu Championships in Texas, and the Association of Fundraising Professionals of Bermuda planted a tree in honour of the ‘Bermuda is Love’ group were all some of the positive news stories from the past week.
In additional good news, Keunna Dill scored in FC United of Manchester Women’s 4-1 win, Krista Dyer won a silver medal in sanda at the World Wushu Championships in Texas, Daniel Phillips advanced to the main draw in Mexico, Bermuda observed World Children’s Day, Bacardi ranked 18th among the ‘World’s Best Workplaces,’ Efficiency Limited donated a Variable Refrigerant Flow system to Bermuda College and BEDC launched Global Entrepreneurship Week with the Rocket Pitch Competition
