Football: Jamaica Defeat Bermuda U20 Team
The Bermuda Under-20 national team lost a five-goal thriller against Jamaica in their final Concacaf Under-20 Championship qualifier at the SKNFA Technical Centre in Basseterre, St Kitts and Nevis, last night [February 28].
Goals from Robino Gordan and Fabian Reynolds gave Jamaica a 2-0 lead and could have made it three when Romain Blake missed a penalty before the break.
Coach Cecoy Robinson’s side showed their battling spirit to fight back on level terms thanks to goals from Xahvi DeRosa and Hayden Dill from the penalty spot.
Bermuda had to win by two clear goals to finish top of group F and reach the championships this summer but conceded again when substitute Ashton Gordon netted late on.
Robinson’s side finished third in the group with three points from three games.
