BUEI To Host World Oceans Day Open House
BUEI, along with Keep Bermuda Beautiful [KBB] and Kaleidoscope, announced plans to celebrate World Oceans Day on June 8th with an open house and activities themed “Catalyzing Action for Our Ocean & Climate.”
A spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute [BUEI], in collaboration with Keep Bermuda Beautiful [KBB] and Kaleidoscope will be celebrating World Oceans Day on Saturday, June 8th with an open house and activities reflecting this year’s international theme: Catalyzing Action for Our Ocean & Climate.
“Join us from 10am to 2pm as we celebrate World Oceans Day 2024 with a day of family friendly, educational fun including a variety of engaging activities for all ages. Visitors can look forward to hands-on science activities, a scavenger hunt and I-Spy game, a Beach Plastics Art Workshop as well as an ocean-related film and talk.
“The day will also feature an award presentation for the Young Reporters for the Environment [YRE] Journalism Competition at 11 am in the Tradewinds Auditorium. The presentation will feature submissions from students aged 11-15 on the themes of Climate Change, Biodiversity Loss,and Pollution.
