Full Embodiment Of Bermuda Reserve Police
Governor Rena Lalgie has granted permission for the full embodiment of the Bermuda Reserve Police from July 11 to August 9, 2024.
According to yesterday’s official notices, “In accordance with the provisions of Section 16 of the Police Act, 1974, Her Excellency the Governor, Ms. Rena Lalgie has granted permission for the full embodiment of the Bermuda Reserve Police from Thursday, 11th July to Friday, 9th August, 2024.”
The specific reason why the reserve police have been embodied was not stated in the official notices, however this comes during a very unfortunate spree of violence, with the Minister noting that there has been seven murders in 6 weeks.
