Somerset Hold Motorcade To Celebrate Victory
[Written by Patrick Bean]
Still basking in the glow of a 226-run victory at this year’s Cup Match classic, Somerset’s captain Terryn Fray led a motorcade which paraded the trophy through the streets of Sandys Parish and beyond today.
Trailing Fray’s convertible was a bus filled with his teammates, followed by a line of cars with horns blaring, occupied by club supporters.
The motorcade left Somerset Cricket Club just after 2 pm, heading first to Woody’s Drive in to have the cup topped up with assorted spirits, before venturing eastward, with plans to stop at various sporting institutions along the way before ending at rival St George’s Cricket Club.
