2024 Round The Sound Swim Results
The annual Round the Sound Swim saw participants battle through the waters of Bermuda this weekend, with swimmers competing across distances from 0.8K to 10K. Tyler Smith emerged as the overall champion in the 6K event, while Katherine Wheddon led the 4K race, showcasing determination and stamina in one of the island’s most anticipated aquatic events.
In the 0.8K swim, Tony Schumacher finished first with a time of 13:31, followed closely by Riaan Engelbrecht, who came in just under a minute later at 14:17. The 2K Swim saw Jackson Langley claim victory with a time of 28:40, beating out Isla Cooze and Jamie MacFarlane.
The 4K competition highlighted the endurance of Katherine Wheddon, who won with a time of 1:02:55. Dominic Wright and Logan Jones trailed closely behind, showcasing strong performances. Tyler Smith dominated the 6K event, finishing in 1:26:06, ahead of Connor Hupman and Justin Edmunds.
In the 10K swim, Nina Coetzer secured first place, completing the course in 2:27:35, with Eileen Mullowney and Brad Coetzer finishing second and third, respectively.
