The Bermuda ball hockey winter league season got underway with a double-header at the PCC Hockey Rink, with 25 goals scored.
ACT 10 Appleby 8
In the opener ACT defeated Appleby 10 – 8. Adam Mattatall led ACT with 4 goals, while Mike Travis, Townie Jackson, and Ian Beaudoin all added 2 goals each.
Nathan Ische scored 4 goals for Appleby, who also got 2 goals apiece from Mathieu Desjardins, and Chris Merritt.
Spine & Sport 5 BDA Spirits 2
In the nightcap, Spine & Sport defeated BDA Spirits 5 – 2. Ross Rufiage, and Ryan Marshall scored 2 goals each for Spine & Sport, with Jeremy Estey adding the other, while BDA Spirits got a goal apiece from Jeff Loper and Robbie Bailey.
