‘Celebrating Early Childhood’ Event On Nov 10
The Early Childhood Foundation of Bermuda is hosting a “Celebrating Early Childhood” event on November 10th at CedarBridge Academy.
A spokesperson said, “The Early Childhood Foundation of Bermuda is hosting a celebratory event focusing on Early Childhood Education. The Celebrating Early Childhood event will be held on Sunday 10th November 2024 at the Kalmar Richards Conference Room, CedarBridge Academy, Devonshire from 2 pm to 6 pm. This event was rescheduled from Sept 8th, 2024.
“The theme “How do We Re-envision Early Childhood” will include the following:
- The History of Early Childhood Education in Bermuda – Gwendolyn Creary
- Early Childhood Key Messages – Dr. Julie Dunstan
- The launch of the Early Childhood Foundation of Bermuda – Penny Saltus
- Celebrating those who have contributed to Early Childhood in Bermuda
“Healthy Relationships begin in early childhood. The Day Care Providers/Day Care Center staff and parents are the first lines of defence for healthy relationships. The Zero to Three 2022 Healthy Steps program states, “Child well-being is dependant on caregiver well-being. It is an evidence-based model that delivers dyadic services in the pediatric primary care setting. Dyadic services in pediatrics can play a critical role in behavioural health promotion, prevention, and early intervention for young children and their families. Partnering with families in their well-being, rather than waiting for problems to arise or worsen, can change the developmental trajectory of young children.”
“The event is geared towards daycare providers, daycare centers and staff, preschool teachers, parents, and community members committed to Bermuda’s next generation. The ticket price for the event is $60, which includes refreshments immediately following.
