Norwegian Cruise Extends Bermuda Partnership
The Ministry of Transport, Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd. [NCLH] and Bermuda Land Management Corporation announced today the “expansion of their partnership, introducing a new schedule of cruise calls starting in 2026 with a third ship and a major infrastructure development—the extension of Kings Wharf Pier.”
Minister of Transport Wayne Furbert said, “This NCLH Cruise Ship Operating Agreement with the Ministry of Transport, through 2037 reaffirms NCLH’s commitment to Bermuda. The collaborative effort highlights Bermuda’s position as a premier global destination while supporting the government’s strategic initiatives to elevate the island’s cruise tourism infrastructure and long-term economic impact. Moreover, NCLH works annually with the Bermuda Tourism Authority to sponsor product development experiences that delight visitors.”
Minister Furbert added, “NCLH’s commitment to Bermuda is further underscored by their collaboration with the Bermuda Land Management Corporation on the 2025/26 Kings Wharf Development project. This project will extend the pier to match the size of Heritage Wharf, enhancing the island’s capacity to host the larger vessels that currently berth at Heritage Wharf comfortably. Kings Wharf will be under construction from 2 October 2025 to 31 March 2026 Extending the pier by 200 feet will greatly enhance the guest experience, allowing all NCLH ships to berth primarily at a beautifully upgraded port in the Royal Naval Dockyard.”

This long-term agreement not only underscores our commitment to the island but also supports sustainable growth for its cruise tourism industry for years to come.”
A spokesperson added, “NCLH has committed to deploying some of its newest ships to Bermuda under the Norwegian Cruise Line and Oceania Cruises brands. Norwegian Prima will return for a selection of sailings in April 2025. Following her debut in Spring 2025, Norwegian Aqua will sail a selection of summer voyages from New York to Bermuda starting in mid-August and returning in April 2026 for a full summer season through early October; after its inaugural sailing in late 2025, Oceania Allura will begin calls to Bermuda in 2026. Across its three brands, including Regent Seven Seas, there more than 350 projected calls to Bermuda between 2025 and 2026.
