Motocross Memorial Day Race On Monday
The island’s top riders will compete in the Bermuda Motocross Association [BMA] Memorial Day Trophy Race at the Southside Motocross Track in St David’s on Monday [November 11].
The annual event will remember those who contributed to the sport locally and internationally, with all competing riders participating in a lap of honour and minute’s silence before racing starts.
Jamel Thompson, the BMA vice-president, told Bernews: “Every year, we like to show those riders no longer with us some respect and honour them for what they did for our sport.”
The featured classes will be 85cc, 65cc, 50cc, PeeWee, Over-35, Women’s 85cc, Novice and Expert.
“It’s a family event and will be a fun day for everyone,” Thompson added.
There will also be a prize presentation for the winners and a raffle.
Admission for seniors is free.
Food, drink and snacks will be available for purchase.
