Video: Khano Smith ‘Assists’ In Rhode Island Goal
Khano Smith displayed impressive speed of thought and ball-handling skills during Rhode Island’s 3-2 win away to Indy Eleven in the United Soccer League [USL] Championship play-off quarter-finals on Sunday [November 3].
The Rhode Island head coach displayed his basketball skills to return the ball quickly for a thrown-in to his team, which led to JJ Williams’s second goal of the game in the 38th minute to make it 2-1.
A clip of the moment has been shared on social media.
Rhode Island have advanced to the Eastern Conference semi-finals, where they will take on Louisville City away on Saturday [November 9].
Smith, a former New England Revolution winger, was appointed as head coach and general manager of Rhode Island in March last year.
