Netball: BNA Summer League Results

The Bermuda Netball Association’s summer league continued with matches in both the Co-Ed and Women’s Divisions.

In the co-ed division, BHB defeated Bean Counting Netballerz 30-13. Sheldon Bahadosingh led BHB with 18 goals, and Charlene Bogle added 12. Jahmair Lewis-Trott was named BHB’s dest defender and most valuable player [MVP]. For Bean Counting Netballerz, Jahtuere Trott scored 9 goals, Jahkenya Trott 3, and Denise Truter 1. Osei Agyapong was their best defender, and Adriaan Bezuidenhoudt their MVP.

Front Street Mafia secured a 21-13 victory over Ren Re in the second co-ed match. Charlie Evans and Meghan Sherwin each scored 9 goals for Front Street Mafia. Nathan Clarke and Ruth Ellen Pintilie also contributed to the scoring. Jess Ferreira was named best Attacker, and Ellen Pintilie the MVP for Front Street Mafia. For Ren Re, Sarafina Woolridge-Burns scored 6 goals and Kiara Francis 3. Antoinay Tankard was Ren Re’s best defender, and Brighton Swan their MVP.

In the women’s division, PHC defeated Law & Disorder 28-11. Verincka Symonds led PHC with 12 goals, while Terita Bean and Tyra Simmons each scored 8. Tahirah Hill was PHC’s best defender. For Law & Disorder, Rachel Nightingale scored 10 goals and Elizabeth Bradley added 1. Hannah Tindesley was their best defender. Nightingale was also named Law & Disorder’s MVP.

The Lady Stars defeated St. George’s 21-10. Julesa Robinson and Nahjae Raynor each scored 10 goals for Lady Stars, with Kim Thompson adding 1. Asante Chapman was named their best defender and MVP. Nisaiah Berkeley led St. George’s with 8 goals, and Stacy-Ann Brown scored 2. Tamae Flood was St. George’s best defender, and Kse Jennings their MVP.

In the final match, Devonshire Recreation Club defeated the Phoenix Flames 15-12. Charlene Bogle led Devonshire’s scoring with 8 goals, and Miesha Greaves added 7. Kessiah Jackson was named Devonshire’s best attacker, Precious Smith their best defender, and Zariah Amory their MVP. For the Phoenix Flames, Jaya Dillas scored 10 goals and Krishay Tucker 2. Navaeh Thompson-Swan was named their best attacker, and Imani Smith their best defender. Dillas was also named the Phoenix Flames’ MVP.
