Drugs & Knife In Vehicle, Four Men Arrested
Police arrested four men after finding a “bag containing controlled drugs, a quantity of cash as well as a scale in the vehicle’s glove compartment” and “a knife in the trunk of the vehicle.”
A police spokesperson said, “At approximately 6:20 p.m. on Saturday, July 19, 2025, police officers were on patrol in the area of Astwood Park, Warwick, when they noticed a motorcar with illegible license plates, parked.
“As officers approached the vehicle, they observed there were four males inside. Upon seeing the officers, one of the males attempted to flee but was quickly apprehended.
“A check on the vehicle confirmed its registration had been cancelled.
“The occupants were informed that a search of the vehicle would be conducted under section 315F of the Criminal Code.
“During a subsequent search, officers recovered a bag containing controlled drugs, a quantity of cash as well as a scale, in the vehicle’s glove compartment.
“Officers also discovered a knife in the trunk of the vehicle.
“All four occupants were arrested and taken to the Hamilton Police Station.
“They have since been bailed and are expected to appear before the courts in due course.”
