Erica Hawley Finishes 3rd At Triathlon Montreal

Bermudian triathlete Erica Hawley raced to a third-place finish at the Americas Triathlon Cup Montreal this weekend.

Hawley completed the course in 57 minutes and 36 seconds. The women’s race was won by Desirae Ridenour of Canada, who finished in 57:12, 24 seconds ahead of Hawley. Earlier this season, Ridenour became the first Canadian woman in more than a decade to win a World Cup triathlon.

Hawley’s performance included a 10:05 swim, a 29:26 bike segment, and a 17:13 run.

In the elite men’s race, fellow Bermudian Nicholas Pilgrim finished 39th overall against an international field. He recorded a final time of 53 minutes and 57 seconds.

Pilgrim’s splits were 9:17 for the swim, 26:54 for the bike, and 16:43 for the run.
