Gender Affairs Council To Host Event
The Gender Affairs Council invites the public to its event “Gender [Affairs Council]: What is it?” on August 13th.
A spokesperson said, “The Gender Affairs Council [GAC] is proud to announce its upcoming event, “Gender [Affairs Council]: What is it?” a pivotal gathering focused on public and stakeholder engagement by driving meaningful conversations and actions toward gender equity. The event will take place on Wednesday 13th August at the BEDC Training room from 6:00pm – 7:30pm.
“At the event, the GAC will introduce who they are, what they do, and their role in promoting gender equity in Bermuda. A focused session will explore how gender is defined and understood today, looking at evolving language, social structures, and lived experiences. Attendees will also take part in smaller breakout discussions on themes such as gender discrimination and stereotypes, workplace equity, mental health and others.
“The GAC emphasizes that real progress requires community input. Public participation is essential to understanding where Bermuda stands on gender equity and how we can move forward together. The Council invites everyone to register, attend, and contribute—whether by sharing experiences, offering feedback, or simply being open to listening and collaborating.

If they are asking what it is, how can they talk about it?
