Bermuda Plein Air Festival Set For Oct 17–24
The Bermuda Arts Centre and the Bermuda Plein Air Group will hold the Bermuda Plein Air Festival from October 17 to October 24.
A spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Arts Centre and Bermuda Plein Air Group is excited to announce the upcoming Bermuda Plein Air Festival which runs from October 17 – 24.
“Our first main event is the Quick Art:
- October 18, 2025
- 52 artists will painting together at Point Pleasant, Albouy’s Point, Hamilton
- A painting must be completed in two hours
- The event is free and open to the public
- Painting starts at 10:00am and finishes at 12.00pm
- The paintings will be judged and prizes awarded right in the park
“Watch the magic unfold as artists create from life, racing against the clock in this judged competition. Stroll through the park, observe the creative process, and feel the energy of art in action. Prizes awarded at the end of the event.
“All work will be hung in The Bermuda Society of Arts and one may purchase a painting right from the wall after the competition.
“From the 19th – 23rd, you can follow the painters around the Island as every day they capture a different location, from east to west. As the day comes to a close, new work will be hung on the walls at the Bermuda Society of Arts and work may be purchased.
“The Bermuda Society of Arts is closed on Sunday, open Monday to Saturday 10:00am to 5:00pm.
“The Grand Finale and main exhibition will take place on Friday, October 24 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm and all are invited to attend.
“All works will be for sale, with the grand prize of Best in Show awarded as well as other prizes.
“This year, the Festival has been broken into two parts – Professional and Emerging – so that every artist participating stands a chance at winning an award. We are very excited this year to have 52 artists participating with 18 overseas joining the party.
