IIA & ISACA Annual Conference On October 30
The Bermuda Chapters of The Institute of Internal Auditors [IIA] and The Information Systems Audit and Control Association [ISACA] will hold their 2025 annual conference on October 30 with the theme “Modern Governance – Balancing Agility, Security and Assurance.”
A spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Chapters of The Institute of Internal Auditors and The Information Systems Audit and Control Association are proud to present their 2025 Annual Conference, themed ‘Modern Governance – Balancing Agility, Security and Assurance.’ This highly anticipated event will take place on Thursday, October 30, 2025 from 9:00am to 5:00pm at the HSBC Bermuda Harbourview Centre, Front Street, offering attendees 7.5 CPE credits and a full day of learning and networking.
“As organizations face unprecedented challenges driven by digital transformation, regulatory complexity, and cyber threats, governance professionals must strike a delicate balance between speed and innovation on one hand and security and compliance on the other. This year’s theme reflects the urgent need for frameworks that enable agility without compromising assurance, trust, or resilience.
“The conference kicks off with keynote remarks from Marico Thomas, Chair of the Bermuda Chamber of Commerce, setting the tone for a day of ideas, inspiration, and collaboration across Bermuda’s business community. The program includes sessions on how internal audit is evolving in today’s fast-changing world, lessons from real transformation projects, and a practical look at how strong governance and culture can move from policy to everyday practice.
“Claire James, certified professional coach, will take the stage for a lively session on Leading with Agility in a World of Constant Change, sharing practical tips on how leaders can stay adaptable, resilient, and people-focused through change. In the afternoon, a panel on Balancing Innovation with Compliance will bring together voices from small businesses, professional services, and reinsurance to explore how organizations can innovate boldly while staying on the right side of regulation.
“The day wraps up with a live cybersecurity demo from Henryk Marszalek, Chief Information Security Officer at Ingine Limited, showing how hackers exploit browser weaknesses and what companies can do to stay safe.
“Among the featured speakers are Ian Gardner, Partner at KPMG Bermuda; Laura Lyons, Deputy CEO at Ignite Bermuda; and Steven Reese Davis from Carey Olsen, along with several other local leaders sharing their expertise and experiences.”
